Students sometimes have problems accessing dissertations or seeing a full dissertation. It might help to use good links to the right databases.  If they are trying to access ProQuest from the internet with a non-Regent link and are not signed in, it won't work, for example.

Tips:

  • ProQuest is the main database for dissertations. We have one that just searches for Regent dissertations and one that searches nationwide.

  • Primo can also be used to search for dissertations if you use the Dissertations filter on the left or along the top.

  • Be sure to sign in to Primo or use the Regent gray sign-in pop-up box upon entering ProQuest. Sign in with your Regent credentials (email and password).

  • If you're having trouble with access, make sure you are signed in and using a link from the library to access the database.
