Your librarian has compiled a list of recommended sources, a Reading List on the Gospel of Thomas, found right here in your UNIV 100 research guide. Click on the first link there to open the Reading List. It contains many journal articles, books, and also short reference entries for background. Some of the sources there are from a non-Christian perspective and some are from a Christian perspective (the sources represent different views, and not all are based in a biblical worldview). It is also recommended that you read the gospel of Thomas to see how different it is from the biblical, canonical gospels. It does not have the level of historical detail that the four gospels have, and it does not have similar theology to the biblical gospels.
You can also search using our Primo library search tool, which searches all books and databases, or our religion databases. In Primo, use filters on the left for "Material Type" to narrow your search to Articles, Books, Book Chapters, Ebooks, or Reference Entries (definitions). Also try adding more key words like "theology" or "gnostic" or "heresy" or "authorship" or "authenticity" or "discovery" or "comparison with canonical gospels" or "canon."
