Q. How do I request a print book as a distance student?
Answered By: Jason Shea Last Updated: Jul 01, 2015 Views: 632
As a distance student you can use our interlibrary loan (ILL) system to request physical books that Regent Library has. Here is the ILL page which has a login/registration link. When you login for the first time you will be asked some registration questions.
Under "New Request" select "Book" (see image below) and fill out the information in the form. When done, click "submit" at the bottom of the page. It is highly recommended that you read the ILL policies so you fully understand the process.
Important: the Library pays for the postage to send the book to you, but you pay for the postage when you mail it back.
FYI, if there are other non-public libraries (like community colleges or universities) around you that have materials that would help you in your studies, the library will help you pay--up to $100 annually--for a library membership there so that you can borrow their books. More information is on the Distance Student Research & Services page.
