If you need a book that is checked out you can always request it. By placing a request you are putting a hold on the book to make yourself next in line for it once it is returned. Once it has been brought back circulation with alert you to come pick up your requested material.

If the book has been checked out for longer than three weeks, you can request at circulation (in-person or by phone) to have the book recalled. Circulation will ask the person with the book checked out to bring it back within 5 days so that you may use it. Once it has been brought back circulation with alert you to come pick up your requested material.

For up to date information on request policies, see this page.
