Can the general public check out books?

Answer

Any member of the public may become a "Regent Associate" for a $50 annual fee. This will provide them with the ability to check out books (but not other materials, such as DVDs). Applicants will need to come in person to our Resource Desk to fill out a form and pay their fee (cash or credit card). See our borrowing privileges page for more information on limitations and fines, and look for "Regent Associates - Guest Borrowing" under "Other Patrons," to find your section.
